Carlos Coelho

Master Grant Researcher

Carlos Coelho completed a B.Sc. degree in Medicinal Chemistry, in 2019, and a M.Sc. degree in Chemistry - Advanced and Industrial Chemistry variant Experimental and Theoretical Physical Chemistry, in 2020, both at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra. He was on a research grant in the Project PTDC/BIA-MIB/31864/2017 – “Multifunctional biomolecular systems for new methods of decontamination, protection and toxicologic” over 6 months. Currently, he is developing research work in BioMark@UC under the context of the project BEST - “Multifunctional biosensors to be integrated into clinical practice and person training with diabetes”, whose main goal is the development of biosensors with specific response to protein biomarkers of diabetes based on antibodies as recognition elements.
