Goreti Sales
Team Coordinator
Goreti Sales is a full professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Coimbra, and coordinator of the BioMark Research Group at the University of Coimbra (BioMark@ UC). She obtained a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1994 and a PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2000, both from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto.
Her research interests are mainly focused on biomimetic nanomaterials and biosensors. In 2012, she received a Starting Grant from the European Research Council for a new engineering approach combining biosensors with solar cells. She is currently coordinating the FET -Open project MindGAP (H2020) and has been appointed EIC National Champion (for Portugal) by the European Innovation Council in 2021.
